Alejandro Miras: Contemporary Art and Inspiration in the Gothic Quarter

Alejandro Miras

Contemporary Artist | Architectural Painting

Born in Barcelona in December 1962, Alejandro Miras has developed an intrinsic connection with urban geometry and Mediterranean light. His work captures the vibrant atmosphere of urban landscapes and interior spaces, transferring the energy of the city to his canvases through an exceptional mastery of texture, acrylics, and the palette knife.

With a solid classical foundation built in Barcelona and Italy, Alejandro balances the rigor of architectural drawing with a purely contemporary expression. As the current President of the Barcino Art Association (ABA), his commitment transcends individual creation. He actively promotes cultural dialogue, the visibility of local artists, and the development of art in the city through www.barcinoart.org.

"As a child, I used to accompany my architect father through the streets of Barcelona, observing and painting the city. That analytical spirit, that search for perspective and light, is what continues to permeate every single one of my works today."

— Alejandro Miras
